Scope
This policy applies to TheMartian.app websites, mobile apps, web apps, tools, and services that link to this page. A product may publish an additional privacy notice when it handles information in a way that needs a more specific explanation. That product-specific notice applies alongside this policy and controls if the two differ.

Information we collect
Information you provide
Depending on the product, this can include account details, contact information, support messages, waitlist submissions, profile information, content you create, and settings you choose.
Product and device information
We may receive technical and usage information such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, timestamps, diagnostics, crash data, and interactions with a product. We use cookies or similar storage only where needed for product operation, security, preferences, measurement, or consented analytics.
Connected services
If you connect a third-party account or service, including Meta or WhatsApp, we may receive the identifiers, permissions, account details, and content required for the feature you chose. The authorization screen describes the access being requested.
Payments
Purchases may be processed by an app store or payment provider. We may receive payment status, product, country, and transaction identifiers, but we do not receive full card details from those providers.

How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, and personalize the product you use;
- authenticate accounts and keep products secure;
- process requests, purchases, and connected-service actions;
- respond to support and privacy requests;
- diagnose failures and improve reliability and usability;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms; and
- meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, or compliance with law, depending on the purpose and the product.

Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose described, including operation of the product, dispute resolution, security, and legal obligations. Product-specific notices may state shorter or fixed retention periods.
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so we also limit access and the amount of information retained where practical.
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers.

Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
You can revoke a connected service through that service's settings. Revoking access stops future access but may not delete information already received, so use the deletion process below when you want stored information removed.

Request data deletion
Email [email protected] with the subject Data deletion request. Include the product name and the email, phone number, username, or account identifier you used with it. Do not include a password, access token, payment-card number, or other secret.
We may ask for information needed to verify that the account belongs to you. Once verified, we will delete or anonymize information that we are not required to retain and confirm when the request is complete. If we must retain part of the information for legal, fraud-prevention, or security reasons, we will explain that restriction.

Children
Our general-audience products are not directed to children under 13. A product intended for a younger audience will provide a specific notice and obtain any consent required by local law. Contact us if you believe a child provided information without the required permission.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as products, providers, or laws change. We will update the date at the top and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
